Ramzam and a militant, Shawkat Fallahi were killed in Imam Sahib area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district last evening, after guns were fired as militants and family of the sarpanch entered into a physical brawl. The shootout took place at about 8 PM inside the home of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) activist Ramzan Sheikh. As per reports, scores of people assembled at Homhuma village and set the house on fire. However, local sources told Kashmir Reader that no one was injured in the incident. They said that fire was quickly brought under control.
